New additions to the
Great Whites driving light
The Great Whites brand of driving lights
launched in March 2012 and has generated an
almost cult-like following from 4x4 and trucking
enthusiasts across Australia.
Boasting the latest in cutting-edge LED
technology, the Great Whites were engineered to
deliver stunning performance and
unprecedented longevity of 50,000-plus hours
in a compact design.
The unexpected soaring demand for these
lights has meant that stock has at times, been in
short supply since its launch.
While the Great Whites story is an impressive
one, it's only the beginning for this brand.
Passionate customers have been providing
valuable feedback about the lights and as a
consequence, there has already been new
additions made to the Great Whites range.
The Great Whites 4x4 Wide Angle offers a
greater spread of light for serious off-road action.
The elliptical beam pattern produces an oval
beam pattern with a wider amount of light
covering a medium distance in front of the
This is perfect for extreme 4WD users who
want mass light over a short distance for rock
crawling or difficult terrain driving.
The 4x4 Wide Angle is only offered in the 18
LED round driving light configuration.
The new Chrome Editions are the flagship of
the Great Whites range.
They've been designed in particular for those
who haven't been shy with chrome detailing on
their vehicles and want Great Whites that will
blend right in with chrome bull bars.
The Chrome Editions are available in 18 LED
round and 18 and 12 LED bar driving light

Driving Lights range have started to arrive.

New ZF damper generation
ZF has developed new valve technology for its fourth generation twin-tube damper
range, providing higher driving comfort, lower noise characteristics and improved
With twin-tube dampers now installed in more than one million modern
passenger cars worldwide, ZF's new system provides even further refinement to
the balance between driving dynamics and comfort.
A leading feature of the design is the independent adjustment of damper
rigidity from a preload valve, with the relationship between damping force and the
damper piston speed coming under the microscope during development.
With conventional packages, a linear characteristic curve of damping force
versus piston speed leads to low damping force required at low speeds, with the
correlation growing as force increases.
In order to avoid overly soft damping at low piston speeds, a steep
characteristic curve is normally selected, which leads to a significant compromise
in the handling characteristics of the suspension package at high speeds.
A non-linear model on the other hand, where higher damping force for slow
speeds leads to a relatively softer damping at high piston speeds, tends to
increased noise, vibration and the ride harshness perceived by passengers.
To overcome this, ZF relies on a damper with a linear characteristic curve,
combined with a newly developed preload valve, which at low piston speeds
provides ideal damping force.
Subsequent to this, the characteristic curve can be set flatter, reducing noise and vibrations
While these improvements for passenger comfort have been achieved, the new valve facilitates
excellent on road handling performance.
The system can be set in different modes, such as sport or comfort, depending on the driver's
ZF's damper technology can be found in Sachs branded products fitted as original equipment
in cars worldwide, including Australian manufactured vehicles.
Within Australia, all ZF components are supported by ZF Services Australia, with specialist
spare parts and servicing knowledge.

New Airbag Man air suspension helper kit
Airbag Man has designed and
manufactured a new air suspension
helper kit to suit the rear suspension of
the new Holden Colorado RG (4x4 and
4x2) and Isuzu D-Max MY12 (4x4 and
4x2 High Ride).
The kits, incorporating heavy duty
Firestone airbags, are designed to allow
you to level your vehicle when carrying
or towing heavy loads.
Designed to suit Australian
conditions and to complement the increased towing and load carrying capacities of the new
models, the RR4642 kit simply bolts on for easy installation.
The airbags are simple to use and are fully adjustable to cater for light or heavy loads,
allowing the operator to maintain the correct height at all times by adding or removing air.
Individual inflation of the airbags caters for offset loads the vehicle may carry, levelling the
vehicle left to right, as well as front to rear.
Improved steering and handling and more even brake wear are only some of the many
associated benefits of fitting air suspension to a vehicle.
For more information on this kit or any other from Airbag Man's vast range of air
suspension products, call 1800 AIRBAG (1800 247 224),
