After almost 21 years looking after the
domestic and international
aftermarket business for the iconic
Australian company Mackay
Consolidated Industries, Darrell
Parsons took on an exciting new
challenge in January.
Mr Parsons has joined forces with German
automotive supplier SGF to form SGF Asia
Pacific and been appointed Managing Director
of the company based in Dandenong South,
SGF Asia Pacific is responsible for the sales,
support, and distribution of SGF products to the
automotive independent aftermarket and all
non-automotive/industrial customers in the Asia Pacific region.
SGF’s range of flexible drive couplings, vibration absorbers and support elements
are widely used in many markets including automotive, agricultural, construction
machinery, rail, heavy transportation, marine, power generation and general machinery
and industrial applications.
In addition to the SGF Asia Pacific operation, select companies will utilise Mr
Parsons’ broad knowledge and experience in the local and international automotive
aftermarket to drive their sales and marketing activities, particularly the Middle East
and North American markets.

QUARTER OF A CENTURY
Terrain Tamer’s Adelaide Branch Manager, Shaun
Beauchamp, celebrated his 25th year of service
with the company last year.
Shaun kicked off his career within the automotive industry
at Freeman Motors, where he worked in spare parts for five
years, before commencing with Terrain Tamer in 1988. Initially
hired as a phone and counter sales person, Mr Beauchamp's
outstanding work ethic led to a promotion to Assistant Manager
Twenty years on, Mr Beauchamp's has no doubt earned his
stripes and was recently promoted to Branch Manager in

supplier,” Mr Beauchamp recalled, while reminiscing those
days where he helped set up the shelving for Terrain Tamer’s
very first order of Toyota parts.
Don Kyatt management congratulated Mr Beauchamp for
reaching the 25 year milestone.
Carsales.com Ltd has appointed former Channel
Nine Managing Director Jeffrey Browne to join the
board as a non-executive director.
Mr Browne’s addition brings the number of Carsales
directors to six. His appointment comes after extensive
consideration of a number of highly qualified candidates.
Mr Browne was previously a member of the Carsales.com
Board from December 2007 to April 2011.

an appropriate and highly desirable non-executive Director,”

“Jeffrey’s extensive automotive experience including his
current role as Chairman of Holden Special Vehicles, as well

Mr Browne said he was pleased to again join the

Mr Browne stepped down from the carsales.com board in
2011 to focus on his commitments as the Managing Director
of Channel Nine.

Nine, we’ve been talking with him about re-joining the
carsales.com Board for some time,” Mr Pisciotta added.
RYCO PAUL CORBETT APPOINTED
HEAVY-DUTY FILTER BUSINESS
GUD Automotive has selected experienced heavy transport and
agricultural appointee, Paul Corbett, to head up Ryco Filters’ thrust
into Australasia’s heavy-duty filter market.
